This white paper discusses modern concepts of business clusters
in the context of ongoing development of bioscience-based high tech business
in Rochester, New York. The collaborative involvement of the area colleges
and universities, and start-up businesses, as well as local service providers,
in such activities as Transitional Science and Medicine provides a basis for furure
economic prosperity. Stephen Curry is currently Chairman of the Grteater Rochester
BioCluster, which is under the wing of the High Tech Business Council of Rochester
